And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s. It is holy to the Lord.

The 6-Month Tithe Challenge
At its simplest, a tithe means a “tenth.” It’s the practice of taking the first 10% of what we earn and giving it back to God through the local church. This isn’t just an old tradition; it’s a principle woven throughout the entire Bible—from the very beginning through the New Testament.
Why do we tithe? It isn’t about the money; it’s about the heart. Tithing is a way to practice putting God first in our daily lives. It serves as a tangible reminder that everything we have, our jobs, our talents, our resources, actually comes from Him.
It’s also an invitation into a deeper relationship of trust. In Malachi 3:10, God says:
Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this… and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.
This is the only place in all of Scripture where God tells us to put Him to the test. It’s almost as if He’s saying, “I dare you—see if you can out-give me!”
